Privacy Policy
1. Information We Collect
- Account: email address, display name, and (for email sign-up) a password stored only in encrypted (hashed) form.
- Social login: when you sign in with Google or Kakao, we receive your email and name from that provider.
- Reviews: content you write, including rating, text, and your display name.
- Automatically collected: cookies for your language/currency preference and login session, and basic access logs (e.g., access time, browser/device type) generated during use.
- Affiliate clicks: when you move to a Provider, an identifier may be attached to confirm a resulting purchase (conversion) for commission purposes.
2. How We Use Information
- To create and manage accounts and authenticate sign-in.
- To publish and manage your reviews.
- To operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
- To confirm affiliate conversions and prevent abuse.
3. On-device Translation
Review translation runs on your own device using your browser’s built-in translator. The text is not sent to our servers or any external translation service.
4. Retention
When you delete your account, your account information (personal data) is destroyed without delay, except where retention is required by law — in which case it is kept for that period and then destroyed.
Retention by item: account information — until account deletion; access logs (e.g., access time, IP, browser/device type) — 3 months (Protection of Communications Secrets Act); affiliate click/conversion records — up to 6 months for commission settlement and abuse prevention, then destroyed.
Personal data is destroyed by a method that makes it unrecoverable — electronic files are permanently deleted, and any printed documents are shredded or incinerated.
Reviews you wrote may be retained in anonymized form — with your name and identifying information removed — after account deletion, so they remain useful to other travelers. You can delete individual reviews yourself at any time from your account.
5. Outsourcing and Third Parties
We do not sell your personal information and do not provide it to third parties except with your consent, as described here, or as required by law.
Outsourcing (processing on our behalf): we entrust hosting and infrastructure operation to Amazon Web Services, Inc. Social login providers (Google, Kakao) authenticate you and provide your basic profile (email, name) at sign-in.
Affiliate networks: when you move to a Provider via an affiliate link, click/conversion data (including an affiliate identifier) may be processed by affiliate networks such as impact.com and TUNE (Kochava) to confirm conversions and settle commissions.
6. Cross-border Transfer
To operate the Service, some processing occurs outside the Republic of Korea. Details of cross-border transfers are as follows:
• Recipient: Amazon Web Services, Inc. — Country: United States — Items: account information, access logs — Purpose: hosting/infrastructure operation — Retained for the retention period in Section 4.
• Recipients: impact.com (Impact Tech, Inc.), TUNE (Kochava) — Country: United States — Items: affiliate click/conversion data (including an affiliate identifier) — Purpose: conversion confirmation and commission settlement — Retained for the period necessary for settlement.
You may refuse the cross-border transfer of your personal information by not using the relevant feature (e.g., not creating an account, or not moving to a Provider via an affiliate link) or by contacting us; note that refusing may limit some features. To exercise this right, contact us using the details below.
7. Your Rights
You may access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal information. From your account you can change your display name, delete your reviews, or close your account. To exercise other rights, contact us using the details below.

8. Cookies
We use cookies to remember your language/currency preference and keep you signed in. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some features may then not work.
9. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect personal information, including storing passwords only in hashed form and limiting access. We do not collect unique identifiers (such as resident registration numbers) or sensitive information.
10. Children
The Service is not intended for children under the age of 14, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14. If we learn that such information has been collected without a legal guardian’s consent, we will delete it without delay.
